An O-ring is a solid-rubber seal shaped like a doughnut or torus. When compressed between mating surfaces, an O-ring blocks the passage of liquids or gases. Our O-rings are available in a wide range of standard and non-standard sizes that are suitable for nearly all sealing applications.
Two dimensions describe the size of an O-ring: its inside diameter (ID) and its cross-sectional diameter (CS)

PTFE O-Ring (TEFLON O-Ring)
With wide temperature range from approx. -200 °C up to +260 °C, PTFE O-Rings are used wherever the chemical and thermal resistance of the normal elastomer O-Rings is no longer sufficient. These are primarily applications in the chemical industry, foodstuffs industry, pharmaceuticals and medical technology.
PTFE O-Rings are used only as static seals, e.g. on flange connections, on covers, etc. And could be a more economical alternative to FFKM materials, but they are not easily compressed and have little memory to be able to return to their original form. This can be a disadvantage if under permanent strain and may not create the best lasting seal.
POLYURETHANE O-Ring (PU O-Ring)
Polyurethane O Rings offer superior seal performance in hydraulic situations, where high pressures, shock loads, or abrasive contamination is anticipated. They present a remarkably high resistance to abrasion and extrusion, as well as ozone, oxygen, and ageing.
They can be used with a variety of mineral oils and greases, non-flammable fluids (HFA and HFB), water and pure aliphatic hydrocarbons. They are most suited where O Rings are exposed to dynamic loads, this includes Pneumatic and Hydraulic installations and a wide range of different critical media. Therefore, Polyurethane O Rings are ideal for industries such as:

TEFLON Coated O-Ring
In many cases standard elastomeric O-Rings cannot be used without a modified surface. Friction can be one of the reasons. Also the possible contamination of the systems through extraction of material components is often not acceptable.
Auter sealing solutions offer teflon coated o-rings, which also called PTFE coated o-rings to reduce friction and adhesion, achieve permanent lubrication and facilitate installation.
